National Zyprexa Settlement

Eli Lilly and Company announced recently that it has entered into an agreement in principle with plaintiffs' attorneys involved in Zyprexa liability litigation to settle many claims relating to the drug.

Side-effects associated with Zyprexa include:

If you have taken the prescription drug VIOXX, you may be interested in knowing that the manufacturer, Merck & Co., Inc., announced on September 30, 2004 that it had withdrawn Vioxx from the US market and world-wide due to safety concerns. The FDA has issued a Public Health Advisory concerning the use of Vioxx. Vioxx has been linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular events including heart attack and stroke in patients who took the drug. The drug has been linked to risks associated with heart attacks, stroke, kidney damage and blood clots. Last year, Merck sold over $2.55 Billion Dollars of Vioxx world-wide and more than 91 million prescriptions have been filled.
