Martin Hoffman, J.D.

Mr. Hoffman is a trial lawyer in the Dallas office of Smoger Law Firm. He received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Philosophy from Trinity University in 1989, where he served as President of Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honor Society) and as the President of Texas Young Democrats - statewide. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1992, where he was an executive board member of the Board of Advocates, and was a semi-finalist in the National Competition of Environmental Moot Court.

Mr. Hoffman's areas of practice include automobile negligence action, products liability, governmental litigation, toxic torts, premises liability, and construction site litigation. He has had extensive experience in state and federal court, including tendering and taking expert and fact witnesses' depositions, arguing summary judgment motions, and first and second chair trial experience. He has worked with the Smoger Law Firm for the last six years.

Mr. Hoffman served as President of the Dallas Homeowner's League (1997-2000) and on the Board of Keep Dallas Beautiful (1997-1999). He is also a member of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Dallas Bar Association. He has lectured on behalf of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association on issues of toy safety.
